Racing
We believe that sailing races are a good way to hone your skills as a sailor. Throughout the year we host both fun and competitive races. There are racing series for our members, as well as invitational regattas for other sailing clubs. River Rats is a member of US Sailing and the North Jersey Yacht Racing Association
In the youth sailing program, intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to participate in Junior Sweeps Race Week in August. The sweeps are held in conjunction with the Monmouth Sailing Club and Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club.
Come join us in one of the many races throughout the summer. The informal, fun races are followed by a BBQ under the canopies at River Rats. The regattas are more competitive, but all are welcome!
Fun Races & BBQ's
Informal, FUN races are held weekly from mid-June through August - Wednesdays at 6:30 in June and July, followed by BBQs; Sundays at 3:30 in August, with bring-your-own picnics afterward. Come to sail and/or enjoy the BBQ. For information, see:
